Problem with ram upgrade on Aspire 5750g

Hi, I'm having Acer Aspire 5750G-2414G64 Mnkk (I5 processor @ 2.3 Ghz and 4GB DDR3 RAM) and I have bought this Corsair RAM memory [ Corsair Memory — 4GB DDR3 SODIMM Memory (CM3X4GSD1066) ] to upgrade to 8 GB, according to this topic and Corsair's memory finder. I shut down my laptop and put the Corsair on the 2nd slot, but when I power-up my laptop again, I see a black screen - the "Welcome" screen from windows doesn't show up at all.

I tried to switch the slots of the memories, but same thing. When I checked and the Corsair alone on the 1st slot, the Windows boot-up just like with acer's ram. The problem with the black screen appears only when the memories work together.

Could you give me some feedback what I'm doing wrong please?

  • Every place I look is calling for DDR3 PC3-10600 1333Mhz for your laptop.

I had a contact with the agency of my country, before I begun searching, about the specs and the required specs, according to what they told me, are the following:

    • SO-DIMM
    • DDR3
    • 1066 Hz
    • extends up to 8 GB (which means I can add 4GB more)
