V5-573G, how to connect external Microphone?

Hello,

I have Aspire V5-573G (with GTX 850M) and I have problem connecting external Microphone. Notebook has 3.5" combo jack and when I plug in my Microphone, it asks me, which device I just connected. Problem is, that Microphone is not listed there. Whichever device I select, I have no sound from speakers.

See this screenshot of my device picker: http://i.imgur.com/pl3X715.png (page crashed when I tried to upload it, so heres link).

How can I possibly add Microphone to that list? Already tried to reinstall audio drivers, but problem persists.

I'm actually java developer and also very experienced computer user, so if solution requires changing/adding register values or anything, than it's fine for me.

What browser did you use (need to know the version too)?

Looking at V5-573G pictures, i don't see a microphone jack, so you can't attach a 3.5mm external microphone; you must use an USB heapdhones.

    Chrome 38.

Also, this notebbok has 3.5mm combo jack (for headsets). But it should allow to connect microphone only. My friend also has combo jack but notebbok from another manufacturer than acer. When he connects external mic, then it asks him like it asks me (with that dialog) but he has microphone there to select.

I think it's a chrome 38 issue, i got the same problem and before it worked.

About ext Mic, i would check the Realtek audio panel or windows sound proprieties about some Mic options.

you will found them on Control panel:

    windows logo + X

    then select Control panel

    Sound / recording device
