Aspier 5516, The internal HDD shows up as 'Safely eject media'

I purchased a used Aspire 5516, it has a replacement HDD with W7 Home Premium, originally it had Vista 64.
There was only a 500GB C partition and it showed up as an ejectable media in the system tray.
I have partitioned the HDD to 80GB(OS) and 420GB(Media).
Both partitions show up as ejectable (USB) media and I cannot assign D to the media partition.
D does not show up as an assignable letter for partitions, I have named it E, this conflicted with my external HDD storage so I renamed my external storage to K.

Sooo, any ideas as to a fix?!
