ASPIRE M5-581T-6807 (WIN 8) TURNS OFF RANDOMLY FAN DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK

PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

JUST GOT THIS LAPTOP YESTERDAY 2nd HAND FROM EBAY. EVERYTHING WAS WORKING FINE UNTIL I WAS DOING THE WINDOWS UPDATE. ONCE DOWNLOADED IT ASKED TO REBOOT TO INSTALL. AFTER TRYING INSTALL IN SHUT DOWN. WHEN I TURNED IT ON, IT SAYS IT COULDNT BOOT TO HDD. I RESTARTED IT A FEW TIMES WITH NO AVAIL. I THEN TOOK A COPY OF MY WIN 8 AND INSTALLED THE OPERATING SYSTEM. NOW EACH TIME I HAVE THE LAPTOP ON  BATTERY OR PLUGGED IN IT TURNS OFF RANDOMLY. I CANT RESTORE BECAUSE ALL THE PARTITIONS ARE DELETED. I INSTALLED ALL OF THE DRIVERS AND APPLICATIONS ASSOCAITED WITH THE UNIT BUT IT STILL SHUTS OFF. IT SEEMS THE FAN WANTS TO TURN OFF/ON AGAIN WHEN EVER IT WANTS. THERES NOT DUST (I CHECKED) I ALSO WAS TOLD BY ACER TO SET THE BIOS TO DEFAULT BUT STILL SAME ISSUE. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. IT SEEMS I GO TO DIFFERENT FORUMS AND I CAN'T SEE ANYONE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE I'M HAVING. THIS SUCKS CAUSE I REALLY LIKE THIS UNIT. DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION?

 

SPECS: WINDOWS 8, 6GB DDR3, 500GB HDD + 20GB SSD.

 

P.S: UNIT WAS WORKING FINE BEFORE I MADE THE UPDATE. I THINK WITH THE LOST PARTITIONS MIGHT HAVE CAUSED THIS ISSUE. THE PROBLEM WITH THAT IS, I INSTALLED ALL THE DRIVERS & SOFTWARE FROM THE SITE. UNLESS THERE A HIDDEN ONE THAT REGULATES THE FAN. I WISH I KNEW!

    I am sorry to hear that this has happen to you and would like to help find you a solution as we value as an Acer customer. The update itself should not have caused this problem, but I can see how it would see so as it only happen when you performed it. The fan is not regulated by any driver but the BIOS itself. I could suggest you updating the BIOS version by visiting our website as that may help. After that you can always contact technical support for recovery media if you still feel it is a software problem.

     

    If that does not work, then it sounds like you have a hardware issue and has nothing to do with the software. I understand you bought this from eBay but I would still suggest contacting technical support in your region for this unit and see what options we have available for you. The other option is to take it to a local technician and have them diagnose the problem and see what they come up with.
