I have an AS1410 and am upgrading to an SSD. In the course of doing so I'd like to upgrade Windows 7 to 64-bit but the Acer Windows 7 upgrade disk says it's only 32 bit. Microsoft says I must contact ACER. What do I do without purchasing the 64-bit version?

1.2GHz Celeron SU2300 processor that it has does support Inel 64 (64bit operations) but at decreased speeds. If Acer doesn't have an upgrade ption for it, you would have to purchase a 64bit upgrade from microsoft, and use 64bit driver updates from acer.

IT also dpends on the bios and board used if the laptop can do 64bit. In most cases 64bit is still not fully utilized, even in aming, except for soem newer titels and direct x 11. But you would need a faster processor anyway, that model is meenat for power reduced work and mobility.
