irql not less or equal - new computer won't get off the blue screen

Please help! Brand new E15 acer laptop, plugged it in for first use and it won't get off the blue screen, keeps saying system repair and then restarting but getting error message irql not less or equal again and again. A bit of googling says it might be a driver error but I can't get into the laptop at all to fix this!! Any tips?? (Laptop was a gift by a relative abroad so difficult to just take back to shop and sort! Hoping there's a quick fix?!) thanks!
