Weird noises when connecting laptop to tv

I have been connecting my laptop to my TV through HDMI to HDMI but I get these worried noises through the speakers, it sounds like audio static. I use the on screen keyboard when it's connected (HDMI Lead is too short) and sometimes I have to bring the keyboard up and click on some keys to try and get the noise to stop.. I thought it was the keyboard but it happens regardless of the keyboard...

Does anyone have any idea what it is? The sound comes straight through the TV speakers.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried to use headphones without connecting HDMI?

just to understand if noise will happen only on HDMI connection.

also try another HDMI cable if possible.

    Thanks for the reply...

I've tried several HDMI cables and all of them are the same. I usually have 5.1 pc speakers connected via the headphone port and I don't get any problems and headphones are fine too.

    It's an Acer V5-561G... I've had it about 2-3 months. Windows 8
    The keyboard isn't backlit.

The keyboard in use when connected via HDMI is the on-screen keyboard. I originally thought this was the problem but I have tried without using the on-screen keyboard and still the same problem.

The problem comes and goes. It can be nonexistent but as soon as a sound is played through the speakers on the TV I'll start getting the (what I can only describe as) audio static.... To stop this noose I have to open the on screen keyboard and press random keys until the noise stops.

I may send it back for repair because I am also having problems with the space bar.
