Aspire One AOA150 Bios Update Failure

I have an Aspire One Netbook. Model AOA150. My replacement battery would not charge The battery company advised me to update my bios. I purchased the netbook in 2008 and never updated the bios. I found a bios update that was more recent than the one installed. I downloaded and installed it. Now it will not boot. When I try to start in safemode I only get as far as:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\windows\system32\DRIVERS\agpCPQ.sys

This is 15-20 steps into the boot process, then it powers down.

Is there anything I can do to get to a restore point?

Several questions to help determine what is going on:

Have you attempted to go into BIOS and reset defaults?

    What BIOS did you install?

From where did you obtain the BIOS?

What operating system is on the computer?

Have you attempted to boot into Safe Mode?

    Thanks for the reply, Acer-Tommy,

    Now working OK.

When it came up, after the bios flash, it came up in the problem mode, and I'd always tried booting directly into safe mode. Which always failed. Just for grins, i tried booting in normal mode and it booted right up. I guess the bios flash had to complete before the boot, and it wouldn't do that booting into safe mode.

I could never find the right fn key to boot into bios. Would still like to do that if you'd give me the fn key.

    thanks

    Greg
