I keep getting stuck on the browser scroller!

Hello everyone!

 

I have bought an Acer Aspire E1-572G. It seems great but I do have one problem.

 

When scrolling up/down a page in a browser, the cursor sometimes seems to get stuck on the scroller. The result is that the browser is sort of frozen as I can't close the window or click a link. Moving the cursor just moved the scroller up and down but I can't click off it again.

 

The only solution at the moment seems to be to put it in sleep mode and then start it again - but doing this every few minutes it very annoying!

 

It's the same problem in both Chrome and Firefox. I hope this is nothing too technical as I'm not great at this stuff. Can anyone help?

Try going into your touchpad settings and disable scrolling. I have seen sometimes when the touchpad can cause what you are describing. It could also be a problem with malware or something that is slowing the system down.
