My computer refuses to use any Mousepad driver besides HID-compliant mouse

I just got a new Aspire V3-572G running Windows 8.1 and am very pleased overall with the hardware except that when I attempt to play an FPS game with the trackpad some form of palmcheck disables my ability to press any keys while looking around with the mouse. There are no advanced settings for this in mouse under trackpad, and apparently my system is using microsoft HID-compliant mouse. I have attempted to install the ELAN reccomended drivers and the Synaptic reccomend drivers for both windows 7 and windows 8 but neither have changed any part of my system, and even when I used device manager to try to install the drivers by using a file on my system it told me that HID-compliant mouse was the right driver. Any help on getting either of these drivers installed or some other method of disabling palmcheck? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to say that but it's not very clever to play a FPS game with a track pad. Man Tongue

That is true but games like Minecraft or Garrysmod are very playable on a trackpad, or rather would be if it were not for this problem.
