V3-571G built-in cam auto exposure

Hi all, I have an Aspire V3-571G with a built-in cam. For the purpose of facetracking I need to disable the auto exposure feature as it is clearly enabled. However, in the settings menu of the cam (accessable via programs like Skype and others who can access a cam's feed) the more advanced settings like e.g. exposure are greyed out and not adjustable, at least not with my current drivers. The cam is installed as "1.3M HD WebCam" using the default W7 drivers for a cam: ksthunk.sys and usbvideo.sys. So far I've not been able to find any specific drivers for this cam. The only thing that shows up under Acer > support > drivers for my notebook model is a piece of software from Cyberlink. However, it seems this is just entertainment software to use the cam and does not include any drivers as the cam is still running on the W7 default drivers after installing the software. I'd like help disabling/adjusting the auto exposure of the cam. My first guess would be to have it run on specific drivers (which I can't seem to find so far) instead of the default W7 ones but perhaps there is a workaround to disabling/adjusting auto exposure. Auto exposure or adjustable exposure is a hardware feature a cam can have, supported/controlled by the software. The only reason it can not be adjusted or disabled would be if the software design deliberately does not want you to change it. Hence my own conclusion so far is it has to be possible to change it, if only by modifying the software. Thanks in advance.

Hello JayPee , I looked into this and i was not able to find a way to change the settings when using the Camera for video. There are also no drivers out for the alterationsa as well. Wish you best of luck in finding a way around this.
