Aspire M5-481PT: Sound Isn't Working! Please Help!

Someone please help! I have an Aspire M5-481PT and my sound has not been working for about 2 weeks.

I discovered the issue at first with Windows Media Player and iTunes... I restarted and it came back.

Then a few days later I tried to use Spotify and got an error message saying there is an issue with my sound card.

After seeing this, I tried disabling the device, then restarting, and re-enabling and the sound came back, but now I'm having the issue again.

My sound runs on the default (built-in) device: Realtek High Definition Audio. It is enabled and it says that the drivers are up to date, so I do not know what the issue could be!

PLEASE HELP!

I've had this laptop for only about a year and a half and I'm running Windows 8.

    hi...

Even though it says that it is enabled and that the drivers are up to date, you may uninstall and then reinstall the audio driver to isolate the issue. You may restore the Realtek driver from Acer erecovery management.

Use the following steps to reinstall a driver or application on your computer:

Press the Windows (Image: icon_Windows8_key.png) key to open the Start screen, Type Recovery in the search box.
Click Acer Recovery Management in the search results. If asked to allow the program to make changes, click Yes.
    Click Reinstall Drivers or Applications.
On the Contents tab, locate the driver or application you wish to install and click the Install icon.
Follow the prompts to install the driver or application.
