S271HL will not hold adjustments

I am using this monitor on an arcade video game. The game has a Dell computer and once had a glass tube monitor.

We have put LCD monitors in this kind of game before, but this one will auto adjust the picture up about 2 inches. I have tried every type of adjustment this monitor has with no luck. Even if the auto adjust does not come on the screen, when the video drivers are loaded and the game is booted the picture looks like you need to adjust the vertical hold. There is a

black bar about an inch up on the bottom of the screen and about a 1/2 inch of picture below that.

Sounds like a cool setup for a game. Have you tried using the monitor on a regular computer to see if the monitor itself works ok?  What resolution does the video card support, and what resolution are you trying to get on the monitor?

These game computers are very proprietary only certain parts that they have drivers for in their program will work.

Sometimes they have updates that have drivers for more hardware, but only when the old stuff is hard to get.

The game works fine on a tube monitor. First thing I tried. Tube monitors are getting very rare and the type we use will be extinct very soon.

I have a feeling the computer could be the problem, but there isn't much I can do about that. We have another game just like it that we put the same brand of LCD monitor in and it works fine. So many variables. May just have to try a different brand of LCD monitor.
