screen goes dim when i plug into the wall , get bright when on battery power

I was a new here when i joined like 3 month ago and my notebook broke. Laurgent_13 tryed to help me big kudos & thanks for the help. Now my problem is , when i 'am on battery power the screen is bright but i plug into wall the scree goes dim . Its working backwards, thats my luck. If any body as an idea please send it to me. I dont want to put in the shop again and let them take a month to fix it. you know what i mean   big kudos mljba

    There's two things I can think of here.

    1. Your screen brightness for your laptop is higher than it is on battery. You can check this by right clicking your battery icon, selecting power options and change plan settings for the option that is selected (or you can manually change both to your liking).

    2. For my laptop, sometimes when I plug my laptop in, the screen will dim just a tiny bit before going back to normal. But I'm thinking you're just dealing with issue 1 if I'm correct.

    HI Athrunzala; I cant find where you want me to check on that notebook , but on this notebook i can find it . this is a new hp with windows 8.1 & 15.6 inch screen . my little acer is only 11 inches, but i like it . he who has more toys does not always win. this is what comes up    open power meter    adjust power properties  mljba
