Hi there,

I've got an Acer Aspire V5 / 531P /571P

I had to reinstall my laptop because of difficulties (not going into that right now)

After install, the screen becomes fussy (double picture)  see picture below

I've seen several people having this problem and i can't solve this too..

In a reply of Intel, it sais that Acer customises it's drivers like this one, but i don't know if this is correct, nevertheless. i like to be able to download the drivers or any other solution...

maybe someone can helpphoto_1_.JPG

    hi...

I suggest you to download and install the VGA drive http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

You may enter the model number or directly go to Group > Ultra-thin , Series > Aspire , Products > v5-531P

Select the operating system from the drop down menu, then select All
Check the release date and download the latest VGA or wireless drivers and install it.

You may also check the BIOS version installed in your computer.

The latest BIOS version for both the model is V2.18

To check the BIOS version, Press the Windows key + X, select Run, and then type msinfo32 and hit the Enter key. In the System Information window, click System Summary and locate your current BIOS Version/Date to the right.

Do get back to us and let us know the status of the issue by your next post or in case you need further assistance. We, at Acer strive towards excellence.

thanks for the repy... I've been working with Teamviewer and the picture is ok with that, but not on the laptops screen...

Anyway, i already downloaded the correct drivers for the videocard without any succes (still got the fussyness)

Don't know if i got the best bios, but i have a hardtime believing this wil solve the problems,

Here is the Bios version:  Pheonix Tech. Ltd. V2.17, 27-02-2013

BTW, when i change from Uefi Bios, i can install W8.1 without any problem installing drivers, but not install from USB or modified ISO...
