Hello, i've been wanting to install windows vista on this laptop since its my favorit OS. The problem I enconunter is that the "intel usb3 extensible host controller" drivers are strinctly for windows seven.

Intel website mentions this:

"The Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver is not supported in Windows* XP or Windows* Vista. For these operating systems, make sure your BIOS settings have the xHCI Mode set to Auto or Smart Auto. This step reconfigures the USB 3.0 ports to function as USB 2.0 ports using the native Windows* EHCI driver."

This is out of the question because there is no such option in bios.

By not installing those drivers my USB ports don't work.

Is there a solution for this problem?  Thanks in advance!!!

I suggest that you erecover Win7 and run Vista as a virtual OS guest using one of the freeware versons of VMWare's Player. I personally run WinXP, Win98SE and SuSE Linux as virtual operating system on my Windows 7 AO722 using the VMWare Player.
