Acer Aspire 7750g USB system problem

Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 7750G laptop, which I purchased some time ago. I never had any problems with it, but in the last month, the USB ports stopped working. No matter what port I use, the same thing happens: the device driver could not be installed. When I try to upgrade the driver or to reinstall it, access is denied occurs, even for a basic device like a USB mouse . The thing is this problem occurs only on Windows. I use also CentOS Linux 6.5 x86_64, and the USB ports are working ok, so clearly it's a software (Windows) problem. The first time I encountered this error I reinstalled Windows, but now the error is back.

I installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bits myself, downloaded and installed the drivers from the acer website and Windows it's updated. Can you please help me? I will provide any details necesary. Thank you.

I found the solution to my problem. The service Virtual Disk (vds) was stopped, and it was marked with manual startup, which meant that it was never started, and all my USB devices ware using this service. I hope this will help others.
