Volume control

And now for my first question,,,

When I'm using "Skype" and most other times, I cannot see the volume control bar, and the rocker bar doesn't seem to have any effect on the volume.

I've checked the other references to this topic, with no helpful results.

Any ideas????

    Well,,, I finally got the tablet restored to factory settings and it still has the same problem,,, Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    So off to the repair under warranty dept.

    Thanks for the try,,,but,,,, that info is for Windows, and my tablet is an Android, and the Skype interface is not the same.

    I also can't see the indicator on most other apps.

    Have you tried to look on android media volume settings?

     

    systems settings/sound/volume and see if media volume will help you with Skype.

    Hi IronFly;

    Yep, I checked that out, and I can change the general settings, but,, the rocker switch on the side of the tablet still doesn't seem to work.

    When I checked with the Acer help chat line, he said I might have to do a factory reset, which I don't really want to do, as I've already installed all my apps. Grrrrrrrrrr.

    Did you check if any update is available for your tablet?

     

    by the way, the factory reset is the only way to see if it's a system problem or some issue related to skype compatibility.

     

    if you do the factory reset, it's better to install only skype and check if the issue is still here, if so:

     

    1) report here again with your tablet model and system build number

    2) report to skype team about this issue, maybe is an application bug

    Hi again;

    I'm in the process of saving the info. I had allready moved to my new Tab.

    Have to put in the air conditioners right now, it's gonna get warm today.

    I'll get back to you after I've done the re=boot.

    PS. We just bought another A3 Tab for my wife, and the rocker control works just fine.
