Aspire 9410-2829 (win 8) Graphic Card Question

Need help in turning on or downloading CardReader.

 

the manual indicates "accepts Secure Digital (SD), MulitMediaCard (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick PRO (MSPRO), xD-Picture Card (xD). I have inserted PNY SDHC 4gb & PNY MicroSD adapter w 8gb MicroSDHC class 4 chip, drive will not recognize the cards.

 

Works fine via other peripheral usb ports.

tried downloading & installing the above but wizard stops & box pops up "Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its features?”, I am not sure want is being removed. I chose to cancel it closes & nothing happens

 

I have never used or activated this side feature; Control panel indicates I have SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller

Can anyone let me know I am missing a step installing or am I suppose to “remove” in order to replace SDA & make wizard install TI drivers?  If TI drive doesn’t work will I be able to retrieve the SDA

Hi..

 

While installing a device driver on the computer, it will remove the previous version. When it does, it will prompt you to confirm. You need to select Yes to remove the driver. Then only you will be able to uninstall the old version and install the newer one.
