How to clear storage

My sons Acer is full and in setting the photos, videos has 3.5gb.  I can not find the files to delete.  They are not in the camera or gallery.  How do I find them and how do i delete them please.

You should be able to do a search for .jpg, .mpg, or .mov files and find the files. Once you find them, you can delete them.

Would suggest you download and run CCleaner (from www.piriform.com) -- it will cleanup temp files, the recycle bin etc.   

Just "deleting" files does not get rid of them until you empty the "recycle bin".

 

If you are using XP, use the file browser and find the "Documents and Settings" folder. ( C:\Documents and Settings)

If you are using Vista or Windows 7, look for the "Users" folder (C:\Users\).

 

Look for the user name folder (such as "Joe"_ and under that you will see other subfolders labled "Pictures" or "My Pictures", "Music", etc.   

==> in XP, look for C:\Documents and Settings\Joe\Pictures ...

==> In Vista/7, look for C:\Users\Joe\My Pictures ...

 

Select the files and delete them. 

 

Then, empty the "Recycle Bin".
