Hi all

My laptop is about 6 Years old and been hassle free until now.

My laptop froze while using it and powering down and restarting it? It wouldn't load up ( start up ) it will do 1 of 2 things ?

I can get of 2 things happen?

1 is text will come ' windows error recover ' there launch repair or start as normal? But either one you select? The screen goes blank but that's it ( I don't know? If I just got to leave it ?

Or if I power it back down? And press shift, ctrl and delete , I can go in ( f2 ) set up or if I leave it and the acer logo goes off? Some text will come up and then -

Check cable connection!
Pxe e63: error while initialising the nic
Pxe mof: exiting intel pxe rom
No bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key

I did abit of google searchers and it says might be disk drive? I'm more worried of trying to save the photos

Is there anything I can do ?

    Hello Verso111,

Your problem comes from your Windows that is already installed on your laptop, some of Windows system files are might be corrupted by itself, or accidentally removed by yourself, or infected by the virus.

To fix this, you have to insert your Windows repair disk and restart your laptop.

After restarting your laptop, enter the BIOS and make your laptop boot itself from Windows repair disk.

To change your bootable devices configuration, after entering the BIOS, you will see the option to do it. Make sure your harddisk is in the list. If your harddisk is not on the list, your harddisk is in disconnected state or worse it might be already broken.

I suggest you to bring your laptop and your Windows Disk to nearby technical support.

    Regards,

    Dio I.
