Aspire One 725 stuck on "preparing automatic repair" screen at boot up

Hello.

So I was upgrading the RAM in my Acer Aspire One 725 (from 2GB to 4GB) and after doing this I booted the laptop as normal and it just gets stuck on a screen saying "preparing automatic repair"... I've tried acesssing the recovery options with F8 and ALT+F10 but I can't seem to get onto it.

Any ideas what this problem is and how I can resolve it? I'd prefer to not lose all my data of course...

Thanks in advance.

Well i discovered that F2 got me into the BIOS, but since then the laptop seems to have suffered static damage (ever since taking the hard drive out) and now it's just a completley blank screen and i've tried endless ammounts of things to fix it. Given up on it now. :/

I am having same issue on my aspire r7-572g. I am like wondering what is wrong with my system. Just got it last month. Except F2 key no other key is working. What is confusing me is that if my hard drive is alive or not. Should I buy Acer recovery media drive. And what if it didnt work? I am outside of US.
Really frustrating situation I am stuck in.
