I need to enable vt-x technology (virtualization) but i don't have the option to do that in the BIOS. The CPU is a i7 4500U.

Is there any way to tweak the BIOS or to change any register value in order to enable it?

    Hi oliverm,

My understanding is that hardware virtualization is on by default on products that support it. In this case, I'm certain that the i7-4500u is supported. The last piece is that hardware virtualization is only available on Windows 7 and Windows 8 Professional or Enterprise OSs which is not the default OS we installed.

    Hope this helps.

I checked Hyper-V and all features in windows are enabled, but when i want to use Intel HAXM (Hardware Accelerated Execution Manager), it says that the CPU supports virtualization features but VT-x is not enabled, and it should be enabled via BIOS.
