Acer Iconia w3 810 Power Options - WIFI Problems

Good day people,

I have the following problem: When I lock my screen on the tablet and the screen goes blank, the WiFi goes to sleep immediatelly.

Well I don't want this to happen, I want that the WiFi stays up even if the screen is blank / locked, because I have a FTP and a VNC Server running.

It worked for some time with locked screen, but a few days ago it stopped working. I tried anything:

-Power Options in Windows (which are very limited resource for that because I can't change the WiFi-adapter specifically I can just tell the tablet to be awake with screen on all time, which I don't want to do)

-Device Manager Wake-Up-Mode (can't lock my screen then, again not a good idea)

What I want to note about that is: I'm missing the power options tab in the device manage for the Wi-Fi adapter, why is that? This could potentially be the problem with all that.

I talked to a Acer Customer and he said:"normally it shouldn't turn off WiFi all by itself".

Now, anyone get this Problem ever? Any Options how to solve this? This is very needed for my work, so if there is no fix it's pretty useless for me.

Spec: Acer Iconia W3-810, Windows 8.1, updated to the last Windows Updates. (Also I have removed nearly any Software that Acer has packed in with the laptop (See: Apps))

If you go into device manager > network adapters > broadcom 802.11... and select advanced, thry disabling "minimum power consumption".

I tried that, not happening, I now have resetted the tablet back to Win 8.0 and can tell that I can change the adapter "power saving" options within microsoft itself.

I'm now going to update it slowly to Win 8.1 to see when this occurs I've read about Microsoft rolling out an update for "Always On Devices" maybe that why...

Anyways thanks still Smiley Happy. If other ideas I'd like to hear them

If other methods fail you might also think of not using sleep mode... Instead just use a blank screen saver or turn off the screen only and leave the OS still active.
