Acer Iconia A100 defect - cannot boot past acer logo

Hello, I have an Acer Android Tablet, namely Acer A100, serial number X***, purchased on 5/27/12. It is registered in the acer website under my name: Dimitar. Since last year the tablet has failed and will not boot past the boot logo. I have invested a lot of time to research this issue and based on my research I have understood this is a known issue with the emmc/motherboard being faulty for a large number of A100 tablets sold. I have even tried contacting the acer online customer support on you official website to file a complaint about this but they could not help me as there is no online support available for my country which is very disappointing. Although my warranty is expired I would expect a company such as acer to back their products in such a case warranty or no as this is obviously a manufacturing defect that affects a majority of customers including myself. So far I have used multiple acer product and even recommended them to my family and friends. This situation with my tablet failing for no apparent reason than a hardware defect however has really frustrated me and undermined my trust in acer as a company. Please help me in resolving the issue with my tablet so that I continue to trust and buy from acer as a capable computer and electronics vendor that produces reliable devices and is worth recommending to relatives, friends and colleagues alike. Regards, Dimitar

    barev,

I apologize you have not had a working tablet for over a year now. I would recommend contacting technical support in your region to see what their stance is for this issue. Because the unit is well out of its warranty I do not know what they will be able to offer. I hope this can be resolved and apologize I am unable to provide a resolution.

Please visit http://www.acer.com/worldwide/, then select your region. From there select Support, then Contact Acer. There you will find the means to contact Acer for this issue.
