W511P - After Windows 8.1 upgrade, can no longer display the task bar using finger gesture

Since I upgraded my ICONIA W511P to Windows 8.1 upgrade, I can no longer unhide the taskbar using finger gesture:

  • With Windows 8, i simply brushed my finger toward the edge of the screen where the taskbar was hidden to display it.
  • Since the upgrade to Windows 8.1, brushing a finger on the screen displays a blue square selection area.
Moving the finger toward the screen edge where the taskbar is located no longer unhides the taskbar.

As a result when the "automatically hide the taskbar" option is selected, it becomes impossible to access the taskbar without connecting a mouse or a touchpad :-(.

Anybody else had this experience... or a solution to display the taskbar?

    Thank you for your feedback.

Based on this feedback, I restarted testing.

I have now tried different settings in the control pannel (touch function) "Stylet et fonction tactile" and setting a longer time for the long touch ("appuyer longuement") fixed the issue.

I haven't seen the same thing with my tablet I upgraded to 8.1. Did you load all of the latest Windows 8.1 drivers?
