Hi everyone,
I bought an acer aspire s7-392 a few months back and I love the laptop but it's completely unreliable.
First I had a problem with the SSD - complete SSD crash, I used my warranty and I got a new laptop.
The problems didn't stop there - All of a sudden it started shutting down when it was on battery mode. I read up online that I had to buy a screwdriver and tighten the middle screw on the back, this worked perfectly but it shouldn't have happened in the first place...
Now, after just a few weeks another issue occured. I closed my laptop before going to sleep (I was going to sleep, not the laptop), but for some reason it stayed on, which I found out next morning (even though there were only the basic processes open). When I woke up in the morning the laptop was extremely hot and the screen was frozen. I went ahead and rebooted it once - no boot device found (same screen appeared when I had the SSD failure). I was slowly getting angry but decided to wait a bit until the laptop cools down. It works normally now (I am typing it from the same laptop), but since then it constantly crashes at the most random moments.
Sometimes when I open a new tab there's a complete crash - then a BSOD.
Sometimes when I type my assword there's another crashes and then BSOD.
Each time the BSOD comes up with a new error.. sometimes it's "critical system died", another time is "problem wiht StorA.sys" or something like that.
This is getting EXTREMELY frustrating. I paid a lot of money for a laptop, had to repair twice and it still malfunctions.
Any fixes for my current problem? Is it a Windows problem or another SSD problem?
Also, what worries me is that after a BSOD I often have to reboot it twice.. the first time it shows "no boot device found" and the second time it boots normally...
This is getting extremely annoying. Tips and fixes appreciated
