I just purchased this and with the stand it sits on its about an inch too tall to fit inside my roll top desk.  I took off the stand and it fits fine but I am worried about it tipping over.  Any ideas how to get a SHORTER stand?  Right now it's sitting on a 1 inch block of wood.

    hi...

To attach the monitor stand carefully place the monitor face-down on a stable surface -- use acloth to avoid scratching the screen.
Attach the the monitor stand arm to the base.
    • Ensure that the base is locked onto the monitor stand arm.
    • Secure the base to the monitor stand arm by turning the white screw using the integrated tab or a suitable coin.

In order to optimize the best viewing position, you can adjust the tilt of the monitor by using both of your hands to hold the edges of the monitor, the monitor can be adjusted to 15 degrees up or 5 degrees down.

Thanks for replying.  Does ACER have anything that might help my problem?  A shorter "stand"?  A way to make my stand shorter?  Alternate ways to mount?

FYI, without any help from Acer I fixed my problem.

I took a 2x2 and a 2x6, planed them down a little, cut them 16 inches long, screwed the 2x2's onto the 2x6 with a gap in the middle for the monitor (removed the stand).  Fits real snug and the 2x6 makes it difficult to tip.  Painted the wood assembly with black spray paint.  Works great!
