***Update***

Oddly enough when I woke up this morning the issue was gone.  Very strange.  Hopefully it never comes back.

I have confirmed an issue with the latest available update for the Iconia Tab A110, Image Version Acer_AV051_A110_RV00RC09_WW_CUS1, Build Number Acer_AV051_A110_1.049.00_WW_CUS1.

If the touch screen is not touched for a period of about 5 seconds it must be touched twice to "wake it up", or you must long-press.  Very annoying when reading e-books, as you must swipe twice to flip the page, but it makes the tablet irritating to use in general, tapping icons becomes a pain, etc.  Go ahead, try it.

I had to return the first tablet to the store, as Acer chat support told me this was not a known issue with the model.  After applying the update on the replacement tablet the same problem returned.  The in-store A110 was very responsive (no update applied), as was the replacement tablet before applying the update, so this proves it out on three separate A110s.  I suspected a software problem but was given the runaround - thanks Acer.

Does anyone know of a way to roll back the update?  Factory reset does nothing.
