Hi everyone!

When I really installed Windows 7(64Bit), on my Acer laptop, Extensa(5220), I found that the

High Definition Audio Device was defined by Windows 7. However, I have another HP laptop which has its own Audio driver, which let Hidh Definitin audio Device to be defined as 'Hidh Definitin audio Device Codec' and its associated program via which I can manage the Audio settings.

Thus, Can I find the own Audio driver for Acer laptop? I really looked for that under Windows 7(64Bit) at Acer website, but none of drivers were listed.

You should be able to download the correct audio drivers at http://www.acer.com. Click on support, then go to the Drivers and Downloads section. If you don't knwo what audio driver you need, they have a tool on the site to help you figure it out. I think it is called Hardware Vendor utility or something like that.

    Thanks a lot,

If you have a look at this screen shot below of mine, you will see that I really have went to the official Acer website, and then I have entered my product model name, and looked for all the drivers and software for Windows 7(64Bit), but no Audio drivers were listed. If there were any drivers for my product model, then they would had been listed.

Should I use the Audio drivers listed while looking for Windows visita(64Bit) drivers?

With regard to Hardware Vendor utility, if you mean with this utility the one below, I would say yes I have tired it, but it didn't detect any drivers for Audio.
