Hi im fairly new here is it possible for a virus to root itself for non rooted tablet  after it has remotely downloaded the additional files it needs to infect the device,im just wondering because ive found and removed viruses before on my android A1-810 tablet before, and sometimes i have had to factory reset the device to remove them from the system,my tab is not rooted,so its easier for me to restore it,just wondering?

Recommend you try Avast from the play store, it's free and scans as you download anything, with good AV the virus should be stopped at the download point. Also recommend you download Malwarebytes and scan your system.

Are you running anti virus anti malware programmes on your device and if so which ones. Your AV should scan everything as it downloads to your device and flag any threats BEFORE installation.

yes I used 3 different antivirus programs, macafee mobile security, avg free, and android anti virus, the reason i was asking is that i have had problems in the past where the virus would infect the root directories, and since antivirus apps, such as macafee can't acces those directories, ive had to factory reset the device to remove the virus.
