Recovery partitions - same model, same content?

We bought 2 Acer Aspire V5-571G laptops from the same supplier at the same time.

I've backed up the Recovery partition for one of them on a 32GB USB drive.

Question:

Do we need to make a separate backup for the second laptop?

- or can use the same copy on the existing USB drive?

    Hi forget4it

If they are the EXACT same specification, then the one backup will suffice. Even if there is a slight difference between the two, then make a separate backup for each laptop.

Hey, doesn't the recovery partition file contain as part of the contents the 'product key' for your copy of windows (the one that is on the tag on the  bottom of the unit) and this being the reason you don't have to enter it when you do a re-install. this being the case make an image copy of both.
