D drive overwritten by Recovery Partition

I am using my ACER Aspire 5742 notebook and recently and stupidly, overwrote my "d" drive space of some 213GB by duplicating the "Healthy (Recovery Partition)" on top of it.

Now when I attempt via the Computer Management - Disk Management program to reclaim that part of the hard drive again, so as to put it back as my "d" drive, I am finding that the system will not allow me access to it.

When I try to right click on that particular drive part, the only command coming up is that of "help".

Any help in getting me out of this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Gareth.

You would most likely need third party partitioning software to correct the issue, or reformat the drive entirely and reinstall the operating system (losing the restore partition in the process).
