T232HL not touch responding, driver is two years old!

When will Acer finally release a genuinely  Windows 8.1 compatible driver for their t232HL monitor?   The touch performance is highly erratic, frequently not working at all.   I notice the most recent driver was released in 2012!!!

On occasion I can get touch response back by unplugging/replugging the USB3 cable,  but not always.

I am using this monitor with an Asus desktop machine, M51BC (AMD powered cpu and video).  The video quality is fabulous.

The touch dependability is horrible.

A new driver should be coded,  and its installation should be an .exe file for simple one click installs, just like Nvidia provides.

    Nice suggestion.

I am purposefully not upgrading to W8.1 because I see all the issues others face.

My T231HL (yours is newer I know) is working perfectly fine without 8.1

I suspect the Acer 'driver' to which you refer is purely for the display panel. Having had a look, it's what you would expect - an .inf file (which isn't actually a driver at all. It simply describes the monitor capabilities).
The touchscreen element "driver" is provided by Microsoft and is embedded in the operating system.
