Acer W4 HDMI out issue v2

Hello,

I just recently purchased an Acer W4 tablet. One of my biggest reasons for going with this instead of other competing tablets was the HDMI option. However, I cannot get HDMI to duplicate the screen onto a TV. I have tried to connect it to different TV brands and all of them show an extended screen rather than the duplicate. Since I do not have a mouse connected I cannot even use the touch screen of the tablet to use the extended screen and it's really a deal breaker for me. when I try the duplicate version but to no avail. I tried searching the threads for a solution but could not locate one. I have made all ACER and Windows updates just to make sure it wasn't a driver issue.

If there is any recommendations or ideas to help me, then it would be well appreciated.

It's a Windows function, easily reached if you you press the Windows key and P. Not as easy if you haven't turned on the full onscreen keyboard but still accessible with a Charm Bar; Devices; Second Screen in Windows 8 or Charm Bar; Devices; Project in Windows 8.1... Who knows where it will be when 8.2 is released. Smiley Happy
