Hi,
I thought I posted this before but I can't find the Post.
I have two Acer 2480 laptops.
2480-2943 and 2480-2247.
The 2943 is my everyday laptop.
I keep the 2247 as a backup.
Both run XP Home.
I was using the 2247 to clone my Desktop hard drive.
I needed to change the Boot Order so that I could reboot from the Hard drive and not get hung on the USB hard drive.
I had set it to boot from the USB before the Primory hard drive some years ago so that I could boot from a thumb drive.
In the BIOS, when I try to change the Boot order by moving the internal hard drive to the top, using the "Shift +" I get a beep and nothing happens.
I had changed the boot order before but now I can't.
There is no Password.
So I tried th do the same on the 2943 and found I have the same problem with that.
I had changed the Boot order on this one before.
Any ideas?
Joe
