Does Acer Aspire S7-391-6810 work on Linux (say Ubuntu)?

Also, if I do install Linux instead of Win8, will my warranty be void?

Thanks!

    Good day

Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, etc) will run on S7-391-6810, HOWEVER, the only problem that you will encounter is the drivers and applications for your machine as the drivers are only available for Windows Platform only.

As for the warranty, Acer doesnt care what you load on the machine as they DONT cover the software under warranty. They only cover pure component failure on hardware...meaning only manufacture defect on hardware is covered.

Ha, that's why I came here. I didn't want to uninstall Windows, however.

My hope is to install Ubuntu and then be able to run Windows 8 in a window within Ubuntu should the need arise (& I know it will).

Here is a thread I started on the topic in the Ubuntu Forums.

Thank you so much. I should have asked that question a long time ago it would have saved me a lot of time and anguish.
