I have the support number it keeps asking me for an SIN number which I clealry don't have as it's a PRODUCT INFO question !!  Than it refers me the website beofre hanging up ! To which I go to this website and it asks me for a sin numder and or serial number to do that chat/ask a qustion!!  How in the hell is this productive when a consumer needs some advice and or question asked about a rpiduct they want to purchase an Acer product that it doesn't show in the specs or they do understand !!!???

I need to know what is the difference Acer Iconia Tab W Series W510-1431 and W510-1654 Tablets both have the same specs so where is the justification where newegg.ca who gets these from ACER and only has a 3% mark up has the 1431 model price point at $584.99 and the 1654 at $719.99

Cmon man - one is bundled with the keyboard dock, the other is just the tablet itself.  You should've been able to figure that out yourself.

really where does it say that ???  Cause even Newegg was baffled and had no clue

    1.  Look at the difference in pictures.  edit - the canadian site doesn't show the difference in pics - that's weird.

    2.  Click the tab called details and read it.  You'll see that the one wiht the dock, mentions specific dock specs like weight.

    3.  I figured this is what it was before I even went to newegg to research for you.  Common sense/wisdom would indicate the difference in pricing is about the cost of a dock so you'd think that the difference would be the dock.

Sorry to be rude but there are more improtnat things for support to solve - likeeeee the issue of sound cuttign out, random freezes, and touchpad response.  Thigns that indicate a product was not at all properly tested.

As ACER support is joke as one cannot get through at all via phone or Chat!! Without the critera of without the sbaove mentioned sin numbdr for a previously owned of newly bougten product !!  Which is not just why I was calling !!!  NewEgg selling this item with a 1.8 Ghz while everywhere else sells the same model same pricing with a 1.5 Ghz processor !!  I wanted to know why !!!!  And FYI NewEgg codul not even tell me the difference !!!    I may have overlooded the added in Keyboad part in the specs way down the bottom as I was compaing the actual tabelt specs in each offer but they could not tell or ever answer and it's there site !!!

ya I hate the model numbers why can't they just be like w510-32, w510-32keyboard and w510-64keyboard

    glad you got your info

as for your processor question, this is mostly just bad listing. The Z2760 processor is 1.5ghz with 1.8ghz turbo boost.

Most places just kind of ignore this either showing the max speed or just showing the normal clock speed.

    This is from amazon.com

btw Acer support is still a jokw either getting through to a support person for product info or obtaininng tech support in general. If you are able to get through with a noticable sin number you can speak to chat support online which knows **bleep** about their own products and basically u waste time to rhe point they say it will need level 2 suppoet and blow younoff with a sorry theybwill contact ypu or you can call back another day!

To be fair, this is common in the industry. I even had a major Korean show HDMI support for a tablet in Feb and then redact it in May. My experience with Acer products (several Aspires and now the W510) is that the device does what it is supposed to, just figuring when to wiggle your ears is needed is sometimes trial and error.

When I started in computers, documentation was massive. Today it is more like a video game where the user must discover the "Easter Eggs".

Really other than the near total lack of support for other operating systems (by design) or even their own recovery disks. The W510 is doing what I need it to and now that I can buy a second power supply, designing a mobile mount is possible.

Of course what I really want is a 7" version (Double Din with DVD), figure that will be 2nd-3rdQ, but this is fine for intial design.
