Hi,

Something has gone haywire with my monitor, I have had the resolution set at 1920x1080 for the last two years but for some reason It when I booted up my PC the wall paper (clock and system tray/icons) where not visible. After some investigation I noticed that they were off screen.

Not sure what has happened but when I hit auto config it does its thing but will not correct the problem. Due to limited options of the monitor I am unable to adjust the screen to squeeze the right hand side back into view.

Does this mean the monitor is going bad or may there possbily be some other reason for the issue?

    Hi Jeff

Have you checked the computers graphic properties? Right click an empty space on your desktop, and chose the "Screen Resolution" option.

If you have a dedicated graphics card (Nvidia/AMD), you will have additional settings you can adjust.

If everything appears to be as it should, try a system restore point, to a day when it was working correctly. If that fails:

    1. Try the monitor on a different computer

    2. Swap out the cable - yours may have developed a fault

If the problem still persists, then it will be the monitor at fault.

    Hope this helps!
