Aspire V5-122p Touchscreen not working properly after upgrade to Windows 8.1

Just got this laptop and I'm setting it up.  After having HUGE problems with the CPU pegging all the time due to some Windows issues, I finally upgraded to 8.1 and now the Touchscreen is not working properly, not really usable because it jumps all over the place.

I upgraded the BIOS to 2.10 and problem persists.

Please help!  I'm not about to reinstall everything, as my guess it's a waste of time.  Is there not a common fix for this problem?

Thanks.

Did you try installing all the updates for Windows 8.1 to see if this resolves the issue? I would recommend visiting Drivers and Manuals on Acer's support site and downloading the most recent Windows 8.1 drivers for your model. If you are still having problems, then I would recommend reloading your Acer computer to factory defaults, then installing the most recent drivers and updates to make sure everything is up to date prior to the Windows 8.1 upgrade.

If reloading is not an option for you as you stated, try running the setup and calibration tools. This can be found by going to the Control Panel, select Tablet PC Settings, then tap Setup. After you perform the setup from the same Tablet PC Settings windows, select Calibrate. If this does not work then reloading may be the only option.
