Hi All,

I am currently trying to determine how to hook 3 Acer X1261P Projector's too 2 770GTX Video cards.. I am having a really rought time figuring this out.. Now the newer Vid cards ONLY have 1 DVI-I connector now. They are replacing the DVI-I with DVI-D which is purely Digital and my Projectors use a D-Sub connector (VGA) which is Analog..

Now to get this working I had to buy a 590GTX which is a fine card but for the Future and me possibly keeping these for a longer time then just a year. I am trying to figure out how to connect this Projector too 2 770GTX Video cards..

I thought I could use the 2 DVI-I ports and a Display port Active Adapter with a VGA Out.. Now nVidia States I can MIX and Match Connectors with DLP PRojectors, Does this mean I can use the DP with an Avctive Adapter??

The Only other Option I see is to get 2 690GTX's but that is  2 grand NOT spending that kind of money on Video cards it would be cheaper to get 3 new Projectors..

We don't support third party products and in this case the active adapters so I would not be able to answer if that will work properly. From what I have read online as long as you are using a DP to VGA/DVI or HDMI adapter this should work and the same would apply for the DVI. The adapters are meant to convert the signal.

    Hi Acer Ryan,

Well, from what I have read about the Displayport it has the bandwidth to pass my required 120hz at 1024x768, I am just unsure if the 3D Will work??.. I did buy a display adaper v1.2 which definetely should do it but I was just wondering if anybody has done this with a v1.1 adapter or even the v1.2 adapter and got 3D Working?

I am trying to determine this to see if I can extend the legs of these VGA Projectors to a newer video card.. the 590 I have is ok for now but within a year or two it may show signs of its age with newer games. So being able to upgrade to a newer video card will help be determing a few things..

I really like these projectors I just wish they used DVI Connectors vs the VGA ones..

Hey, since we are on the subject of Projectors does Acer have any plans to release some newer Projectors that are nVidia 3D Certified?? IF you dont know where could I get some info on future releases of DLP PRojectors??
