hello forum Smiley Happy

im new, so forgive me if i didnt used the search button correctly. just bought a flickering free acer H226HQLbmid 21.5" monitor. it works with the hdmi-cable without any problems. except my monitor thinks im running 1280x1024 while i got my windows set at 1280x960. my monitor recognise every resolution except 1280*960 <-- this is a very populair resolution in cs.go, thats why i want to use it. i know, resolution is related to your gfx-drivers, im running the latest nvidia drivers, but still didnt find a solution.

thanks in advance

    Hi keyster!

Have you installed the monitor driver? It should be on the disk that came with it. If not, the driver is on the Acer Support page for your H226HQL.

Have you tried tweaking the nvidia settings?

If you right click an empty space on your desktop, you will see an option that reads "NVIDA Control Panel". If it's not there, go to your Windows Control Panel, and there will be an applet there.

When it opens it gives you many more options than the standard Windows settings. There will be a setting to Customise display settings too.

Have a play - you might find an option or setting which will work. Just take note of the original settings, so you can revert back to them if necessary.

yeah i know what you mean and ive been trying this already but couldnt find something usefull. i even tried nvidia-inspector for more settings and options but again, nothing usefull. i start to believe, its being a display bug or perhaps a minor factory issue. i cant tell for sure, only someone with the same monitor could test this. i dont mind though, because i play 1280x1024 atm. its not a big deal, because i find it more imprortant having an pwm free monitor. thanks for your effort finlux Smiley Wink

    OK, keyster!

If you can borrow a monitor, you can test it out on that! If I can be any further help, just let me know!
