T272HUL - How to switch off the internal microphone and webcam?

Hey guys,

I got this display today and it seems like the internal microphone is causing some problems with my headset and TS. So the question is how to switch it off all together mic and webcam.

I really only want the wqhd screen with multitouch and I don't need this webcam/speakers/microphone. Help would be much appreciated.

The screen is connected via DVI and the USB-cable which was send with it to use the touch screen. And if I disable the realtek USB2.0 Mic the my headset mic (connected with standard 3.5mm microphone jack) isn't working anymore as well.

Have you viewed the onscreen display menu for the monitor? I did not have this exact model to test, however I did show on a similar model we have the option to disable the audio within the monitors onscreen display menu.

If that does not work, I would not disable the mic in the sound controls but assign how it works. You could even mute it so it does not pick up or cause any reverb. Within the Recording tab under the Sound controls, you should be able to right-click the Microphone you want to use and select Set as Default Device and/or Set as Default Communication Device.
