HDMI not working with Cradle and W701

Good day,

have the W701 and recently purchased the Cradle 2 which gives USB extensions, Ethernet and HDMI. USBs are working wellm Ethernet is working well but I cant get a second monitor extension through HDMI. I can only get an extension monitor through VGA. Have updated all drivers, tried all settings but no success.

How can I extend to my second monitor through HDMI? Any idea?

I have a cradle at home for my W700 and they should be functionally identical. I'm out in 'the world' this week, but if no one else has responded before I get home I'll set it up and see what happens. I don't remember trying HDMI before...

Has anybody got this working? As it stands now, the Cradle 2 is a $150 USB hub. I cant even get VGA to work....

Yes i did get it to work by updating the drivers through acer support site. Be sure to choose drivers for W8.1 ????

Thanks for that, I'll give it a go when i get home this afternnoon. Just to be clear - did you use the w8.1 cradle drivers for w700 or w701 - or are they the same?

They should be the same, except drivers for the 3G support in the W701, which isn't installed in the W700.

It is a w700 but as billsey pointed out it should be the same drivers. I hope it works out for you as well Smiley Happy

Thanks for all your help guys, however I am still battling this issue. I've gone as far as formating the tablet, and still no luck.

I am running windows 8.1 enterprise, with version 10.18.10.3496 of the HD 4000 display drivers. Do you think the display drivers have anything to do with it?

As it stands now, the teblet can not detect a second display via the cradle, no matter what i try. Tried changing the cables, that didnt work either. Pluging in the same monitor via the micro HDMI slt on the tablet, works without issues.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
