as the subject says i have a aspire 5920g laptop and all the extras have gone. took the laptop to a so called expert cos it was acting up (stubborn virus) he formatted the hard disc and o nly reloaded vista basic programs onto it so all the E programs has gone including the factory restore partition that he was supposed to know about. My question is i have tried to get the erecovery disc which i know exists from acer but when i put the SNID/ or serial number in it says no RCD suplied for the serial number given. what am i supposed to do, need to factory restore the laptop

    Hi petersago

I presume you didn't make the recovery disks when you bought the laptop?

If you go to Acer support for your region - to the eRecovery disks page, there is a telephone number you can ring, and speak to a human. They should be able to help on this matter.

You can also find drivers and applications on the Acer support page, under "Drivers & Manuals". You just need to enter the model of your laptop....

Just to be clear, I would suggest contacting your local support team. If the website says they don't have it, there may be a small chance that the support team can get access to it. Unfortunately we do have a timeframe in which we stop creating and distributing media and that depends on many factors.
