My S3 is crashing regularly, and randomly. Crashes at different things ie not always when the same thing happens.
So... is a system restore the obvious answer? And would 'Restore Operating System and Retain User Data' be worth doing? So basicall any data outside the user folder is deleted and a new OS installed... is this likely to fix the problem?
Or could there be another reason it's crashng so often. It's an S3 951. i5 processor, 240Gb SSD, 4Gb RAM, running Win7.
The crashing started a few months ago and it's now crashing several times a day.
There's also what appear to be some bugs in the system. The trackpad controls don't work unless I open the mouse control panel. The power saver mode kicks in when the power cable is removed, even though it's set not to. And will go into power save mode even after changing to balanced... the screen will dim of its own accord. So I wonder if a system restore will fix these as well.
And also the fact that the Windows updates keep failing... so all-in-all, a bit of a mess.
