Acer Aspire H342 lossing all connection with a blinking blue "i"

I've been using for the past three years my NAS Aspire server running under WHS and I'm now getting the same problem over and over.

The first occurence came after the first year of usage, for no particular reason, one day, I could not have acess to the server.  I had a blinking blue "i", a blinking blue network indicator and a blinking blue system disk indicator. I could not access the server neither by the consol, rdc or even by ping.

I had to reinstall the server using the recovery disk and fortunatly I was able to recover all my data.

Even if I received some errors when I logged onto it with rdc, (some kind of backup service falling) the server worked fine for an another year. At this time I had the automatic updates turned on, so all the WHS patch and service pack was installed.

Then same thing happened 10 months later.  Same symptomes, same solution... It worked for five months and then last weekend it happened again. I'm getting worry of losing my data...

Any idea on what the problem can be or what should I check?

Here is some information about my server:

Model Acer Aspire h342

OS Windows home server

System SATA 2TB

DATA SATA 5TB (2+2+1) used at 60%

Memory 2GB ddr2

What are the current light statuses on your home server? Do you have any red lights or flashing lights?

Are you able to recover the home server using RCDs?

Since my last post, I've been trying the recovery process for the 4th time since I have it. This time it did not went well. The server took longer than usual to reboot and I had hard time getting the connection from my pc with the server. I finally made it through, but at the end it took for ever to get a connection from remote desktop and I has not able to connect with the desktop consol.

Once connected with RDC, the server was barely responding to commands. I just changed the workgroup name, than reboot and it never came back.  I let it go all night, the next morning, volume was mounted but I had a purple blinking light on disk 2 which I never had before. Even though the network indicator was blinking blue, I was getting no response from the server not even on a ping.

Finally made a hard reboot, since then nothing... It's still stuck in the reboot process. A blinking blue "I", blinking network (no responses on ping) and a random activiy on the system disk.  Volume dismounted (4 lights are off) .

I recently notice something new, it seems that the server reboot itself every 15 to 20 minutes, it kind of stuck in a infinit loop.

    I'm totaly in the dark...

Unfortunately, with the recovery process not completing and the system continually rebooting, my best recommendation would be to contact technical support in your region to inquire about repair of the system. It seems like you have tried quite a bit of troubleshooting on your own, and after consulting with a few others, I don't really have additional troubleshooting to offer.
