[Aspire 4820TG] Video capture device not detected.

Hello! I have an Aspire 4820TG, and up until now, my webcam has been working flawlessly. However, when I tried opening Acer Crystal Eye Webcam, I got the message "No video capture device was detected in your system." I tried rebooting, but it didn't work. I thought it might be a problem with the driver, so I opened the Device Manager, but I couldn't find the driver for my webcam. I tried looking for a driver webcam download on the Acer website, but I couldn't find one. Can someone please help me? Any help is appreciated. Thank you, and happy new year!

    Good day

Go to acer recovery management, click on restore, reinstall drivers and applications, contents and reinstall the webcam driver from there.

Never mind. I ran System Restore and I chose a restore point from a few days ago. My webcam is working fine now. Thanks for the help, though! =)

    Hello,

I am facing a similar issue. All of a sudden, my webcam is not working. I have an Acer Aspire 4820TG.

The webcam is not being detected. So I'm not able to use Skype or any video chat.

I have followed your instructions, but the problem persists. Please help.

    Thanks
