I can't update the drivers that are recommended for my computer after upgrading to windows 8.1 Pro with the download from windows.com and don't got the disc for windows 8.1 Pro and crashes. Also tried upgrading my RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB and the driver updates still continue to crash.  The RAM cards are the same name brand as the 2 2GB came with just 2 4 GB cards instead.

The Aspire 5552 has been configured and setup to work with Windows 7. We do not have Windows 8/8.1 drivers available for this notebook. I apologize as we are unable to provide any driver support for the Windows version you installed on this notebook.

The drivers you are trying to install are crashing possibly due to incompatibility, not because of the amount of RAM you have installed.

Maybe someone on the community may have a solution or suggestion beyond what I have provided.

You can either use factory recovery media to install Windows 7 and you will get your Bluetooth function back or you can visit http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/service.htm, select your region and click on Drivers and Manuals. From there select your model and you can view the available drivers for download.
