I have been facing this problem that the touchpad mouse (Elan) is not responding at all. I have reinstalled the driver from Acer support page and is still not working.

An external mouse however its possible to use.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

thanks in advance

    Good day

    1. Do a system restore to the last date the touchpad worked.

    2. Make sure that the touchpad is enabled using Fn+F7

    3. Backup and reload machine to factory settings to eliminate OS issue

    4. If reload doesnt work, you need to get the touchpad replaced.
